Revolutions Training Sponsors Care Accolade

Revolutions Training were delighted to sponsor the West Sussex Care Training Consortium Care Accolade "Investing in the Workforce" in December 2009.

The Care Accolade for the employer who demonstrated their commitment to investing in their workforce was won by Outreach 3 Way. Outreach 3 way are a learning disability charity based in Crawley.

Outreach had been nominated for the award by Dawn West, whose adult daughter has autism.

Members of the Outreach 3 Way team and Dawn attended the ceremony in December which was held at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust in Arundel to receive the award from Peter Langridge, the Revolutions Training Finance Director.

The Care Accolade judges commented, "This is an excellent example of where an organisation has taken a proactive approach to workforce development. Development opportunities are focussed on improving the lives of service users and demonstrate how they have used a person-centred approach in achieving this."

Upon receiving the award Head of HR Training and Development Simon Livesley commented that, "Social care work is about positive life experiences for our customers. The way we achieve those experiences is through our employees, and that is why we believe that a trained and informed workforce is fundamental to our work."
