Recognition Status Achieved
In December 2010 Revolutions Training was delighted to receive Recognition Status from The National Skills Academy for Social Care as a result of meeting the criteria required to evidence the quality of our training provision.
The employer-driven National Skills Academy for Social Care focusses on leadership, management and commissioning and modelling excellence in learning, in adult social care.
Created by employers, for employers, from across the broad spectrum of adult social care, the Skills Academy's role is to aid the delivery of improved care, in response to the needs of employers, employees and people who use services, by supporting and promoting excellent learning and training in social care in England.
The National Skills Academy for Social Care aim to:
- Identify and provide solutions to the strategic learning and training needs of employers in the sector- leadership, management and commissioning skills - to help the sector collectively meet the care demands of an ageing population.
- Translate the strategic need for these skills into practical training and learning that will bring value at operational level for employers.
- Develop learning in these critical areas in a format that reflects the needs of employers in social care - modular and fitting in with day-to-day operational needs.
- Facilitate provision with quality delivery partners to ensure that the best learning materials and programmes are developed, tested and delivered for employers.
- Define the values that make excellent social care in consultation with employers and make it the foundation of all the learning and training programmes we develop.
- Endorse quality learning and training across the sector using the same values-based system that employers have agreed.
- Facilitate access to recognised and rigorously assessed excellent training provision.
The Skills Academy has worked with employers, training providers and service users to examine excellence in training. Based on our findings, we have developed a ground-breaking set of criteria which are the basis for our endorsement scheme. Recognition Status is the first stage of this endorsement scheme.
