e-portfolio

We use an e-portfolio assessment system to collate all NVQ evidence.  

It is your Assessor, not you who is responsible for building the NVQ evidence portfolio by matching what you do with the NVQ standards.  You do not have to access a computer or have computer skills - if you do then that's great but it is not a requirement.

The benefits of using an e-portfolio rather than the traditional paper-based portfolio are:

• Learners achieve their NVQ Award in a shorter timescale than with traditional paper-based approaches
• Knowledge and understanding can be captured by video and voice recording - less writing and more talking 
• The learner focuses on learning rather than organising paper into a folder
• Vocational qualifications become accessible to all learners regardless of individual challenges such as dyslexia or where English is a second language (including British Sign Language)
• The individual produces more natural and authentic evidence as most is captured in their workplace as they undertake day-to-day work activities
• The NVQ process becomes a more enjoyable, positive and motivating experience so that many learners cannot wait to undertake another qualification with Revolutions
